Artist Statement
Theater is an art form that speaks to multiple intelligences, making it a dynamic educational tool for all types of learners as well as being a wonderfully expressive medium. Theater/drama brings together an exploration of both inter- and intra-personal communication as well as building on the development of language and cognitive awareness.
As a professional actor, director and educator, I have found theater to be a profound and often life-changing experience for children and adults. I have had the privilege to work with the elderly, second language learners and the physically and emotionally challenged at colleges and universities, corporations, the private school sector and adult immigrant communities. Each one of these experiences has only strengthened my belief and commitment to this truly holistic art form.
