Melissa McCarter is a writer, teaching artist, and a lifelong resident of the Hudson Valley. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Literature from Vassar College, and her MFA in Writing from Sarah Lawrence College. She holds several certificates such as Teaching Writing, from John Hopkins. Her poetry has been published in anthologies, and her poetry erasures and lit art paintings have been exhibited in Hudson Valley art galleries, both in-person and online.
