The Hudson Valley Singers gave its debut concert on March 15, 1951. The group, consisting of seventy-five amateur voices, has been in existence continuously since that time, performing classical choral music of the 17th through 20th centuries. In 1998, Eugene Sirotkine, Assistant Chorusmaster at the Metropolitan Opera, joined the Hudson Valley Singers as Music Director and brought his knowledge, vitality and enthusiasm to the group.
Each Year the group presents two concerts in the lower Hudson Valley. The Hudson Valley Singers goals are to educate and entertain the community with top quality choral performances and to provide their amateur singers with professional guidance and instruction.
