I paint nature, because there's something universally healing about "contemplating the beauty of the earth." ~Rachel Carson - I work in oil on canvas or linen to create emotive, lush, and richly textured plein air and studio-generated paintings. I choose to saturate colors at times to viscerally symbolize the tactility of memory and nostalgia and the magnificent feeling of being alive despite any adversity.
I received my B.F.A from the Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art and my M.F.A. in Creative Writing from Brooklyn College where I studied privately with Allen Ginsberg.
