Artist Statement
Barry Mason-- painter, sculptor, photographer and teacher-- once described himself as a visual composer. His artistic career spans several decades; he has exhibited his art throughout New York and beyond. Early in his career, he had a rare chance to exhibit his art in the White House in Washington, DC. Barry is known for his large abstract paintings on shaped canvas. He resides in Mount Vernon, New York where he continues to work as a painter, photographer and teacher.

Teaching Artist Experience
Barry has done teaching artist residencies through ArtsWestchester with the Westchester County Department of Correction, Riverside High School in Yonkers and the White Plains Youth Bureau.
