Alina Bachmann is a visual artist and designer living in New Rochelle. Sharing a passion of art with nature, much of her work is inspired by wildlife. Over the past decade she has dedicated her work to raising awareness about species facing extinction and educating the public on environmental issues such as palm oil. A portion of her most widely acknowledged mixed-media installation, entitled “Person of the Forest”, is on exhibit at the ape house of the Milwaukee County Zoo since 2012.
Alina’s work explores a variety of media, from detailed paintings to immersive installations. In addition to being a fine artist, she has also designed graphics and illustrative work for a variety of non-profits such as Orangutan Outreach. She currently works as a graphic designer for the Wildlife Conservation Society, nestled at the Bronx Zoo in New York.
