THE POWER OF AN IMAGE: THE STORY OF A LIFE
November 23: 1-3 PM
1:00-1:30: Discussion Tour of ‘Psychological Portraiture’
1:30-3:00 A sharing of life stories through pictures
In the spirit of the Thanksgiving season, a time when family members and friends often gather together, you are invited to an intimate round table discussion with exhibition curator and collector Livia Straus and Mara Mills, Director of Studio Theatre in Exile and Coordinator of Education Programming at HVMOCA.
Aligned with our current exhibition ‘Psychological Portraiture’, participants are invited to bring in a family photo, individual snap shot or selfie, to speak of personal meaning and the power of their selected image for them.
Please bring in images on paper to share (not on phone or computer). Images may also be of personally impactful places or objects.
Write your name on the back of the image for return purposes as images will be projected in our Black Box Theater.
Participation free with museum entry.
