“Fusions and Transformations” Digital Art by S.W. Paul Wyszkowski
Harrison Council for the Arts presents “Fusions and Transformations” an exhibition of digital art by S.W. Paul Wyszkowski at the Harrison Public Library, 2 Bruce Avenue, Harrison, NY on view November 1-30, 2018; meet the artist November 3 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. This exhibit consists of archival prints which when framed under glass and displayed in average interior light should not appreciably change for at least a century.
ARTIST STATEMENT: My lifetime adventure with inventing and discovering images has led me to experiment with nature based composite images, both paintings and photographs, originally using mechanical processes and now exploring the infinite possibilities of digital image processing. I have exhibited these images (paintings, photographs and digital prints) in eleven solo exhibitions in Washington, DC and in Canada (Ottawa and Toronto).
I am fascinated by the power of just the right mix of symmetry, texture, chaos and order to generate evocative yet truly new and surprising visual worlds. If I had to assign a genre to the kind of images I currently produce I think “abstract impressionist” might convey something of their nature.
The exhibit may be viewed Mondays and Wednesdays 9:30am to 9:00pm; Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays 9:30am to 5:30pm and Sundays 1:00pm to 5:00pm. For info call the Library 914-835-0324 or see harrisonpl.org.
