ALL Exhibition & Opening Reception
Clay Art Center is pleased to present ALL
An exhibition that takes a look at the human impact on the natural environment, and how we are connected as humans across borders.
Opening Reception: Saturday, September 22nd, 6 – 8PM
In the Gallery: September 22nd – November 10th
ALL is the fourth of four themed exhibits for 2018, a year featuring artists whose works examine social justice issues and the intricacies of maneuvering life, lifestyles and living within a global society. ALL explores our collective impact on the natural environment, and how this connects us as humans across borders. Novie Trump will create an installation of ceramic insect specimens, an implication of migration, evolution, and extinction. Included are reliquaries of animals that point to the sacredness of wildlife and the fragility of our existence on this planet. Trisha Coates creates objects and installations of ceramic detritus, looking at the human impact on our environment by including themes of collection, decomposition, and natural ecosystems.
