Musician and composer Jonathan Scales has put his own spin on the jazz genre with his versatile use of the steel pans, a percussion instrument that originated from Trinidad and Tobago.

Jazz Forum Arts (JFA)’s summer concert series is underway with 32 concerts in five Westchester County venues along the Hudson River. Live music will fill the air every weekday evening: Mondays at Henry Gourdine Park in Ossining, Tuesdays at Horan’s Landing in Sleepy Hollow, Wednesdays at Waterfront Park in Dobbs Ferry, Thursdays at Lyndhurst in Tarrytown, Fridays at Pierson Park in Tarrytown.

Hudson River Museum’s annual summer amphitheater series is once again in full swing every Friday and Saturday evening until August 12. Set against the picturesque backdrop of the Palisades and Hudson River, this performance series delivers free arts experiences to the Yonkers community and beyond.
