10 Live Music Series in Westchester This Summer

A diverse array of live music events are occurring in every corner of Westchester County this summer, from mermaid festivals and outdoor movies to captivating dance performances and nostalgic doo-wop concerts. These events are free and affordable, making it easy for guests to immerse themselves in the arts and connect within their communities during these sunny months. Here are 10 live music series taking place throughout the county:

Hudson River Museum Summer Amphitheater Series (Yonkers)
Guests can explore the Summer Amphitheater Series at The Hudson River Museum, featuring free Friday and Saturday evening performances through August 17. This year’s lineup includes Afro-Peruvian Ensemble, which takes a contemporary spin on traditional Peruvian music and dance, Andy Gersh’s interactive magic, and Yonkers Philharmonic Orchestra’s exploration of global river-inspired music. Held outdoors overlooking the Palisades and Hudson River, offering first-come, first-serve seating and free parking. Concerts are held at 8pm with doors opening at 7:30pm (511 Warburton Avenue, Yonkers).

Summer Sounds Concert Series (New Rochelle)
New Rochelle Council on the Arts’s Summer Sounds Concert Series offers free concerts with a waterfront ambiance each weekly. Running through August 23, the sounds of the series range from reggae to rock, salsa to jazz, opera to pop hits. Country fans may especially enjoy the Country Fresh concert on August 21 for modern country covers and originals. These concerts in Hudson Park are held at 7:30pm on Wednesdays and Fridays (1 Hudson Park Road, New Rochelle).

Kristen Mather de Andrade will perform live music at Chappaqua Library

Chappaqua Library Summer Concert Series (Chappaqua)
Chappaqua comes alive this summer during its 3rd annual summer concert series: Friday Nights in the Courtyard. Chappaqua Library provides the community with more than just books. This summer, it has live music as well. This summer’s 3rd annual lineup boasts jazz music from Ray Blue, country tunes from the five-piece band North Country Band, and Brazilian jazz from duo Kristen Mather de Andrade. Concerts are held at 7pm (195 South Greeley Avenue, Chappaqua).

Jazz Forum Arts Summer Concert Series (Ossining, Sleepy Hollow, Tarrytown, Dobbs Ferry)
Jazz Forum Arts’s summer concert series provides Westchester County residents with live music options every day of the week at one of five venues along the Hudson River across Westchester County: Mondays at Henry Gourdine Park in Ossining, Tuesdays at Horan’s Landing in Sleepy Hollow, Wednesdays at Waterfront Park in Dobbs Ferry, Thursdays at Lyndhurst in Tarrytown, Fridays at Pierson Park in Tarrytown. This series showcases emerging artists to internationally renowned musicians to present a wide range of jazz experiences for guests. Shows in Dobbs Ferry feature a pre-concert kids program, Jitterbugs Jam Sessions. Concerts are held at 6:30pm.

Yonkers Waterfront Live (Yonkers)
Yonkers Downtown’s annual summer waterfront concerts take place every Friday night through August 16. Guests can enjoy views of the Hudson during these live music concerts at the waterfront amphitheater. Performances include a wide variety of genres such as reggae, soul, pop, rock, jazz and R&B. The Spanglishfly mixes Latin and soul while Sammulous pays tribute to Louis Armstrong, Lionel Richie and Michael Jackson. Concerts are held at 6:30pm (71 Water Grant Street, Yonkers).

The Thornwoods will perform live music at Cortlandt Waterfront Park

Cortlandt Summer Concert & Movie Series (Cortlandt)
The Town of Cortland provides live music and outdoor movies at Cortlandt Waterfront Park. Music lovers should bring a blanket or chairs to enjoy the activities comfortably. On select Thursdays through August 8, the Town will present musical groups to perform, including The Mike Risko Band, which brings female-driven rock to the park while The Thornwoods put their own spin on popular rock and pop tunes. Concerts are held at 6pm (77 Riverview Avenue, Verplanck).

Town of Pelham Summer Concert Series (Pelham)
Town of Pelham offers live music every Monday evening at Gazebo Park. Concerts include Philip James Orchestra, which blends jazz, rock, blues and folk. The following week features FDR Drive Band, which performs an extensive repertoire of music that includes pop, swing and dance hits. Concerts are held at 7:30pm (20 Fifth Avenue, Pelham).

Armonk Chamber of Commerce Summer Concerts (Armonk)
Armonk Chamber of Commerce provides live music this summer in two locations through September 5: Armonk Square (on Thursday evenings) and Wampus Brook Park (on Saturday evenings). Armonk Square features concerts that include School of Rock, Willfull Misconduct, and The Ricardo Gautreau Trio. Wampus Brook Park features concerts like The Tracey Delucia Band, Group Therapy, and Mighty Spectrum. Concerts are held at 6pm.

Robinson Summer Concert Series (Valhalla)
Westchester County Parks sends its Summer Concert Series to Kensico Dam Plaza in Valhalla this summer. Tribute bands perform every other Friday, allowing guests to experience the music of Jimmy Buffett, Bon Jovi, Dave Matthews band and more. Concerts are held at 6pm (1 Bronx River Parkway, Valhalla).

Cross County Summer Fest Concerts (Yonkers)
Music from multiple genres including salsa, reggae and R&B shine at this free annual concert series until August 7. Bands such as FDR Band and Men of Soul perform in The Green in the center of Cross County Center. Concerts are held at 6:30pm (8000 Mall Walk, Yonkers).
